Qualification:
Full-time B Tech/BE degree in Mechanical with a minimum of 60% & above/CGPA (6 & above on the scale of 10) from a recognized Board/University/Institute approved by AICTE.
M. Tech and/or MBA/PGDM or equivalent in Operations/Petroleum Management/Oil & Gas or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Essential Experience:
- The incumbent will be a Team lead to manage the project related activities of PDH and PP Plant and ethane/propane storage and handling facilities.
- The Candidate must have minimum 21 years of post-qualification experience in a Refinery or Petrochemical/Polymer unit of a Refinery/Petrochemical/Polymer complex/Fertiliser plant or in a leading engineering consultancy and EPC company, having an annual Turnover of Rs 3000 crore or more (in any of the last 3 financial years), out of which:
- At least 10 years in Operation/Technology/Project related to Petrochemical/Polymer/Fertiliser plant, and;
- At least 5 years in project design/execution in a large Refinery/Petrochemical/Polymer/Fertiliser project/EPC (Green field/Brown field).
Desired Skills:
The incumbent as part of the Petrochemical Projects team shall be responsible for leading a team with deliverables such as:
- Feasibility Studies, Design basis preparation / finalization, Licensors selection, if any, BDEP preparation & Detailed engineering activities especially PFD/ P&ID, Model reviews, SIL & HAZOP studies, etc. with all Process Licensors / Consultants.
- Detailed knowledge in furnaces/Reactors/Catalytic processes/purifiers/dryers, pumps, compressors, blowers, bag filters, refrigeration compressors/chillers, heat exchangers, diaphragm/metering pumps, blenders, Liquid/Gaseous Incinerators, managing polymer warehouse, polymer/petrochemicals dispatch in Tankers/ISO Containers.
- Conversant with Refinery/Petrochemicals process or handling of LNG/Ethane/Propane/Cryogenic liquids and hands-on experience of BOG management.
- Conversant with EPC/EPCM mode of the tendering process i.e. preparation of tenders and evaluation of Bids, etc.
- Management of implementation of the project conforming to relevant design documents and specifications.
- Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities troubleshooting, PGTR, and coordination with licensors & other stakeholders, etc.
- Knowledge in using digital platforms for efficient monitoring & report generations.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- During implementation of the project, inspection of tanks/utilities equipment (boiler), heat exchanger, condenser, water and HVAC/internal for conformity to design documents.
- Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
- Identify and assess project risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, monitor, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Significant experience in managing LNG/Ethane/Propane/Cryogenic liquid tank construction projects.
- Proven experience in managing offsite and utility construction projects.
- Familiarity with Indian regulatory requirements for specialized liquid storage tank & utilities construction in a petrochemical plant.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate offsites and utilities into the overall project plan.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of offsites and utility infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Manage construction budgets and timelines for storage tanks, utilities & miscellaneous.
- Detailed in-depth knowledge of Construction Management, procurement, and project management.
