Qualification:
Full-time B Tech/BE degree in Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control/Instrumentation & Electronics/Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 60% & above/CGPA (6 & above on the scale of 10) from a recognized Board/University/Institute approved by AICTE.
M. Tech and/or MBA/PGDM or equivalent in Operations/Petroleum Management/Oil & Gas or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Essential Experience:
- The incumbent shall occupy one of the senior positions of the petrochemicals project and shall be responsible to manage all the activities associated with the project design and commissioning.
- The Candidate must have minimum 19 years of post-qualification experience in a Refinery or Petrochemical/Polymer unit of a Refinery/Petrochemical/Polymer complex/Fertiliser plant or in a leading engineering consultancy and EPC company, having an annual Turnover of Rs 3000 crore or more (in any of the last 3 financial years), out of which:
- At least 10 years in Operation/Technology/Project related to Petrochemical/Polymer/Fertiliser Plant, and;
- At least 5 years in project design/execution in a large Refinery/Petrochemical/Polymer/Fertiliser project/EPC (Green field/Brown field).
Desired Skills:
The incumbent as part of the Petrochemical Projects Team shall be responsible for deliverables such as:
- Feasibility Studies, Design basis preparation / finalization, Licensors selection, if any, BDEP preparation & Detailed engineering activities especially PFD/ P&ID, Model reviews, SIL & HAZOP studies, etc. with all Process Licensors / Consultants.
- Detailed knowledge in understanding of P&ID, equipment layouts, isometric, design and development of DCS/PLC/ESD systems and field instrumentation like transmitters/analysers/control valves, inter-locks, etc.
- Knowledge of various protocols and international standards including preparation of control strategy, control loop configuration, instrument classification, logic diagrams of field instruments and control systems.
- Knowledge of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) or Man-Machine Interface (MMI), Operator Interface Terminal (OIT), Local Operator Interface (LOI), or Operator Terminal (OT), etc.
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting of instrument systems, rectification of field instruments/site erection procedure for testing/reconditioning of valves/ spare management/SAP or any other planning tool/turnaround planning/vendor/contract management, etc.
- Knowledge of designing with latest Codes/specifications of various plant utilities like Potable water infrastructure and water treatment plants, Sanitary sewer infrastructure and sewage treatment plants, Stormwater drainage infrastructure, water and Fire Hydrants, etc.
- Manage the construction of air, fuel, electricity, steam generation & distribution, and offsite utilities of raw material, finished product, etc. and associated equipment.
- Management of implementation of the project conforming to relevant design documents.
- Facilitation of development of operating manuals/supervisory manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), etc.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of design plans.
- Oversee contractor selection, evaluation, and performance.
- Monitor construction progress against the construction schedule.
- Ensure implementation of approved QA/QC plan and also compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage construction budgets and timelines.
- Knowledge in using digital platforms for efficient monitoring & report generations.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
- Identify and assess project risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, monitor, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Detailed in-depth knowledge of Construction Management, procurement, and project management.
- Co-ordination of the movement of ODC Consignment until site & follow-up with contractors/vendors for availability of material at site.
- Assessing the impact of changes and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Timely verification and certification of the measurements.
- Maintaining project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
- Conducting a thorough project closeout, including final inspections, documentation, and handover to operations.
- Experience of handling mainly construction activities in projects related to petroleum refinery/petrochemicals.
- Experience of interpreting, reviewing MIS reports.
- Working experience of SAP & related technology platforms.
- Ability to control and supervise the construction work of the complete project within the respective disciplines.
