Qualification:
Full Time B Tech/BE degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control/Instrumentation & Electronics/Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 60% & above/CGPA (6 & above on the scale of 10) from a recognized Board/ University/Institute approved by AICTE.
M. Tech and/or MBA/PGDM or equivalent in Operations/Petroleum Management/Oil & Gas or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Candidates possessing certifications in the following areas shall be preferred:
- CSWIP 3.1
- Six Sigma (Green Belt)
- ISO 9001 auditor
Age:
The maximum age limit is 40 years as on 14th February, 2025.
Essential Experience:
- The incumbent will be responsible to manage the project-related activities of PDH/PP Plant including ethane/propane storage and handling facilities.
- The Candidate must have minimum 10 years of post qualification experience in a Refinery or Petrochemical/Polymer unit of a Refinery/Petrochemical/Polymer complex/Hydrocarbon plant or in a leading engineering consultancy and EPC company preferably having an annual Turnover of Rs 2000 crore or more (in any of the last 3 financial years), out of which:
- Minimum 5 years in Operation/Technology/Project related to Petrochemical/Polymer/Hydrocarbon plant, and;
- In the recent 5 years at least 2 years in project design/execution/construction in a large Refinery/Petrochemical/Polymer/Hydrocarbon/EPC project (Green field/Brown field).
Desired Skills:
The incumbent as part of the Petrochemical Projects Team shall be responsible for deliverables such as:
- Feasibility Studies, Design basis preparation/finalization, Licensors selection, if any, BDEP preparation & Detailed engineering activities especially PFD/P&ID, Model reviews, SIL & HAZOP studies, etc. with all Process Licensors/Consultants.
- ASNT Level ll certification in Radiographic Testing, Ultrasonic Testing.
- Experience of factory inspection of mechanical items used in Petrochemical/Refinery/Oil and Gas projects.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and testing methods.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, material properties, and defect identification.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME, ASTM, API).
- Knowledge of distributed control system, Safety systems such as PLC/FSC, remote/local operated hand valves/control valves/pull-down valves.
- Hazard area classification in a process plant, LT/HT drives, PLCs, DC drives, AC variable frequency drives, transformers, inter-locks, breakers, relays, etc.
- Detailed knowledge in furnaces/Reactors/Catalytic processes/purifiers/dryers, pumps, compressors, blowers, bag filters, refrigeration compressors/chillers, heat exchangers, diaphragm/metering pumps, blenders, Liquid/Gaseous Incinerators, managing polymer warehouse, polymer/petrochemicals dispatch in Tankers/ISO Containers.
- Knowledge of various protocols and international standards including preparation of control strategy, control loop configuration, instrument classification, logic diagrams of field instruments and control systems.
- Knowledge of Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Operator Interface Terminal (OIT), Local Operator Interface (LOI), or Operator Terminal (OT).
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting instrument systems, rectification of field instruments, site erection procedures, testing/reconditioning of valves, spare management, SAP or any other planning tool, turnaround planning, vendor/contract management, etc.
- Management of implementation of the project conforming to relevant design documents.
- Facilitation of development of operating manuals/supervisory manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), etc.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of design plans.
- Oversee contractor selection, evaluation, and performance.
- Monitor construction progress against the construction schedule.
- Ensure implementation of approved QA/QC plan and compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage construction budgets and timelines.
- Knowledge in using digital platforms for efficient monitoring & report generation.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
- Identify and assess project risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, monitor, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Detailed knowledge of Construction Management, procurement, and project management.
- Coordination of the movement of ODC Consignment until site & follow-up with contractors/vendors for availability of material at site.
- Assessing the impact of changes and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Timely verification and certification of the measurements.
- Maintaining project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
- Conducting a thorough project closeout, including final inspections, documentation, and handover to operations.
- Experience of handling mainly construction activities in projects related to petroleum refinery/petrochemicals.
- Experience in interpreting and reviewing MIS reports.
- Working experience with SAP & related technology platforms.
- Ability to control and supervise the construction work of the complete project within the respective disciplines.
